At the beginning of this year I took part in the artistic residency “Artist of the Karst Land" organized by dotART / Exhibit Around APS and Trieste Photo Days whose aim was to tell in my own way a reality connected to the GAL Carso.

The project developed during the residency period has now become part of a book and a group exhibition hosted at the Covered Market of Trieste from 15 October 2025 to 15 November 2025.

On Sunday, 7 September 2025, several pictures from the project “The roots grow and the branches open to the wind” were exhibited in Sutrio (Udine), the town where much of the research took shape.

“The roots grow and the branches open to the wind” is a photographic project that is part of Progetto Lêntamente, which traces how the figure of the carpenter in Friuli-Venezia Giulia has evolved over time. It is a journey into a craft that is constantly changing, exploring not only the visible gestures of production, but also what lies behind them: the transmission of knowledge across generations, the entry of women into the field, the influence of place and community, shifts in demand, and the changing idea of what it means to be a carpenter in today’s society.
